Prohibited items: the mistakes we still see every month
Most holds aren’t mysterious. They’re perfume bottles, aerosols, batteries left inside gadgets, or ‘just a little’ alcohol.
Nobody packs a prohibited item because they want trouble. They pack it because it felt harmless at home. Then the box sits in a hot container and suddenly that ‘harmless’ bottle is a problem.
Do this before you tape the box
- Open our Prohibited Items PDF and skim it once — really once.
- Take batteries out of electronics when required and wrap separately.
- Ask us on WhatsApp if you’re unsure about one item. One message beats a delayed box.
Tip — If customs opens a box, messy packing makes everything slower. Neat packing isn’t only about damage — it’s about inspection speed.
Read the list here: Prohibited Items (PDF) in the site footer. Rules exist to keep shipments moving, not to annoy you.
